Welcomemessage
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
it is our great pleasure to warmly welcome you to the XIV international Rubus and Ribes Symposium “Berries to come: a look towards the f auture of Rubus and Ribes in a constantly changing world”. This event represents a unique opportunity to gather a global community of researchers, growers, industry experts, and stakeholders committed to advancing knowledge and innovation in berry production.
Under the aegis of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), the Symposium places strong emphasis on the collaboration between Sant’Orsola, a company deeply involved in the berry sector, and the Fondazione E. Mach, a research centre expert in soft fruit research and technology transfer, ensuring a high-level international perspective and strong scientific exchange.
Set in Trentino, in the north of Italy, a region with a long-standing tradition in soft fruit cultivation and a strong vocation for quality and innovation, the Symposium will provide an inspiring environment where science, practice, and industry meet. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the latest advances in plant breeding and genetics, sustainable cultivation systems, crop protection, fruit quality, nutraceutics, post-harvest management and market trends related to Rubus and Ribes crops.
Following the spirit of international collaboration that characterizes leading scientific events, this Symposium aims to foster dialogue, encourage new partnerships, and support the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for the berry sector worldwide.
We warmly welcome you and look forward to an engaging and fruitful exchange of ideas.
